App: Tinny(not), previously listed as Tinny

Platform: iOS 17.6 or later

Data collected: none

In one sentence: Tinny(not) collects, stores and transmits nothing about you, because it has no servers, no accounts and no network code at all.

1. No data collection

The app does not collect, store or transmit personal information or usage data. There is no backend to send anything to. Zero bytes leave your iPhone as a result of using Tinny(not).

2. Everything runs on the device

All of it happens locally:

3. Speech synthesis stays local

The speaking clock is generated on your iPhone by Apple's built-in speech synthesiser, using a voice already installed on the device. The resulting audio file is written inside the app's own storage so iOS can play it as a notification sound, and it is deleted when it is no longer needed. Neither the text nor the audio is uploaded anywhere.

4. Your custom text is yours

Text you type for a chime is stored on the device alongside your other settings and appears only in your own notifications. It is not transmitted, indexed or read by anyone.

5. Imported audio

Files you import are copied into the app's private storage on the device. They are never uploaded, and deleting a sound in the app removes the copy.

6. Purchases

The upgrade is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store:

7. No third parties

There are no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, no advertising networks, no social logins and no trackers of any kind linked into the app.

8. Permissions

The app asks for exactly one permission:

You may revoke notification permission at any time in Settings. The app notices and says so on its main screen rather than pretending it is still working.

9. Children

Since no data is collected from anyone, none is collected from children either. The app is suitable for all ages.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. As nothing is collected today, any future change would most likely add detail rather than add collection. If that ever stopped being true, it would be stated here plainly and before the fact.
